Energizing an Industry Leader

OVERVIEW

Meyer is a 100+-year-old, fourth generation family-owned business headquartered in Stratford, CT.

The company was founded in 1915 by William B. Meyer with a single horse and wagon, and since this modest beginning, the company helped found United Van Lines and has grown to become a leading logistics, relocation and workplace solutions provider, with locations across the Northeast, from Delaware to Massachussetts.  

As Meyer transitioned to a next generation of leadership and sought to energize its next chapter, they turned to the LoudenClear team to develop craft their organizational narrative and new brand, and to elevate their marketing strategy and effort. 

ACTIONS

The LoudenClear team worked with Meyer’s leadership to develop its organizational Purpose and Promise, and then to embed these driving tenets into a brand that clearly conveys the organization’s industry leadership to the marketplace.

In this process, LoudenClear suggested that the company modernize and energize its name by sharpening the legacy William B. Meyer name to Meyer. Then, LoudenClear developed a new visual identity system – logo, colors, fonts, patterns that launched in 2019. Over the ensuing years, the LoudenClear team has helped express this new brand and identity system across everything from the company’s website and vehicles to uniforms, marketing communications, recruiting materials, and the office environment. 

To elevate Meyer’s marketing strategy and results, Dave Louden has served as the Fractional Chief Marketing Officer for Meyer since 2021. In this collaboration, we’ve developed ongoing communication programs, key customer case studies and video stories, a thriving digital marketing and lead-generation program with partner Digital Position, and new sales tools with audience-centric messaging.
